China's Divorces

There have been two disastrous divorces in the history of China.

The first one was with the Soviet Union in the year of 1958, which led to a famine across China from 1960 to 1962. By now, the number of deaths has never been counted. The cruelest thing was that some children were killed by hunger-stricken relatives as food. There was a cannibal haunting in the village where my parents used to live. When the police asked her for the reason, she claimed herself to starve enough to eat her own niece. Shortly, she was liberated.

The latest one has been started with the USA since 2017, which caused an economic crisis in July that year, with the stock market hit hard. Many victims staged online suicides. A woman hanged herself in the avenue. And a man committed suicide by jumping from forty floors.
