The Chinese reform of position appointment inside a company has turned out to spur more corruption, which is for building connections and relationships based on gifts, banqueting, or other favors.
In my case, I received a call from my director after a competition for posts in our university. Because of not getting any benefit from, he was angry with me.
"You were almost jobless and bankrupt!" he shouted on the phone, "It is me who has been pitying you."
"If you do not listen to me, I would send you to the personnel section. You are over then!" he threatened.
