Memory about Chinese medicine

It is great to study something that really happened in life. In my case, this is Chinese medicine. Once during my childhood, I kept coughing for a long time, which seemed to be more than a month. Even though my parents bought me syrup, the cough continued untill one day a colleague of Dad recommended us to eat steamed pears. Mom was shocked with the idea, but she prepared me with a steamed pear. It was hollowed out and filled with rock sugar and pepper. It tasted strange and almost disgusted me. Strangely, it healed my disease.

Now I am nearly fifty and studying Chinese medicine. I have found that there are more miracles than I could imagine.
